Thick Coarse Hair

Posted by on December 20th, 2010

Thick & Coarse: Styling potential is great as this type of hair can take a lot of punishment, but don’t over do it and condition regularly. Signs to watch out for if your hair does start to lose condition are; curlier hair tends to frizz while straighter hair goes limp. Avoid chemical treatments such as colourants or perms. When dry, this type of hair absorbs perm chemicals quickly but the natural weight can make the curl drop out. When well conditioned perm and colour chemicals take a long time to penetrate the hair shaft and so can cause more damage. Redken All Soft will smooth the cuticle which makes your hair look less coarse. Cream leave in conditioners like Redken Fresh Curls or Smooth down could be the one for you, Organic Gloss serum will also give it some weight and shine to keep it under control.
